The Friends are those who  wish to support the beautiful Church of St. Andrew, Kirkandrews-upon-Esk  keeping  it at the heart of the community and preserving its  inheritance  of turbulent history, splendid architecture, wealth of records , and the achievements  of its many talented parishioners  for now and for future generations.

Churches face many challenges and Kirkandrews, in its beautiful but isolated parkland setting , is no exception.  To help Kirkandrews  face these challenges its Parochial Church Council set up the Friends Group under the patronage of Sir James Graham Bt.

Some Friends live nearby, others holiday  in the locality , whilst others visit only once.  Some have family connections through baptisms or weddings whilst others have loved ones buried in the graveyard.  But for all Kirkandrews and its churchyard are special .

The  Friends hope that with their  help and  support   the Church’s fabric can be maintained; its facilities improved and  future secured .

The Friends hold an annual event every year in support of Kirkandrews Church.
